Blooming into a spring wardrobe

Say goodbye to sweaters and hello to spring outfits! One of the smartest things I did after graduating college last year was starting to invest in clothes that were grown up enough for work but still fun and playful. Working at an advertising agency, I do admit I wear more casual outfits, but I love a classic statement necklace or patterned top to round out my look for the day.

However, it can sometimes be really hard to find clothes that fit my taste, are reasonably priced and are still in style even a few years from now. Stores and online shopping are getting harder to find good quality clothing too, so I try to shop at stores that stay true to their brand and remain consistent with their products. After experimenting with different brands over the years, I've found Ann Taylor Loft, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic and White House Black Market stay pretty consistent! I also love Express for their Portifino tops and bold pieces for when I'm going out to dinner or for drinks.

Now, tackling what it takes to build a great wardrobe for spring! It's important to have a variety...including lots of cardigans, long sleeve blouses, a mix of cute t-shirts and springy tops will help with the unpredictable weather. Always make sure to have cute accessories to compliment your outfit too and fun shoes. You don't have to go crazy, if you add a few piece to your wardrobe each season, it will help you feel refreshed and in style. A trench coat and Hunter rain boots are also perfect for the early spring months.

I hope these tips help as you start your spring wardrobe shopping! Would love to hear where you guys like shopping and find the best outfits. Be sure to comment on my latest Instagram post, sharing any tips and tricks!
