Sometimes you need to take a step back and celebrate the little moments during the holidays! Two weekends ago George and I had a magical getaway at the beautiful The Row Hotel at Assembly Row for a much needed time to connect, catch up and enjoy time together. The past few months have been really tough to find time the two of us, especially with George picking up work on the weekends while he finishes his second to last semester of law school. Now with the limited time we have together, we always try to cherish each moment!
Our stay at the hotel was truly lovely, and I was lucky enough to have won their summer photo contest for a night stay. There were so many wonderful details in the room - from a smart T.V. to a coffee station and bathrobe - and everything was so polished and clean. The overall vibe was really fun, featuring historic charm with a modern twist, complemented by unique elements throughout.
It truly was the perfect location too because we grabbed a bite at Legal on the Mystic and walked around Assembly Row admiring the Christmas lights and decorations. After dinner we grabbed a drink at the hotel's chic bar to continue enjoying the night by the beautiful Christmas tree. Of course as a keepsake moment I had to take a cute photo the two of us, and I definitely was extra (per usual) and brought a mini Christmas tree!
If you're looking to go shopping to or catch a movie, Assembly Row continues to have something for everyone. So next time you're looking for a mini getaway, find time during the holidays to treat yourself and a special someone to a night away.
